Noren & Curtain Size Guide
Noren & Curtain Size Guide
Ordering the right size is the difference between a noren that frames your doorway and one that drags the floor. Here's how to measure — and remember, every LiBu piece can be made to a custom size.
1. Measure your doorway
- Width: measure the full opening. Choose a noren width within ~5–10 cm of that, or go custom.
- Drop (height): from the top rod down to where you want the hem — usually 130–180 cm for a standard doorway.
2. Pick a style
- Split pair: two panels with a walk-through gap in the middle (e.g. 36/24 split = 36" total, 24" opening).
- Single panel: one solid panel for narrower spaces or purely decorative hangs.
3. Standard vs custom
Our noren and linen curtain panels list standard sizes; choose custom size at checkout for an exact fit to your door, window, closet or room divider. We hand-make each piece to your measurements in plant-dyed linen or ramie.
4. Hanging
Use a tension rod, a wooden dowel, or a ceiling track. The sewn top sleeve slips over it — no hardware required. For room dividers, a ceiling track gives the cleanest float.
